Bridge
If I’m being honest, I truly feel very misunderstood. Am I a monotheistic polyamorous person? Im a monopoly. 😂😂 The hard part about it, is I keep getting told from both sides that it can’t be done or isn’t right and perhaps that is my lot in life. But the truth is, I’m not whole without either. I love both parts of myself equally and I really don’t think it’s going to change despite what the world, society, or even my family may think. My spirituality is mine. I am divine. I believe divinity comes from within and without. It’s time i stand in my truth even if I’m standing alone. I guess that’s what a bridge does. I often thought the world would be the hardest people to face but the reality is, it’s family. But once that is done, who cares about anyone else. I have two families, my nyc tribe and my OG tribe. Everything is connected, remember. And that’s something I believe we all needed to remember, especially now. I recently came across the word Monism. There might be more to be discovered there. Part 2 I was outside practicing my Qi gong and kungfu. Movement helps me think clearly. The breathing in Qi gong helps calm anxiety. When I Came back inside, I got to thinking. Does everything being connected mean everything is equal or on equal footing. Now I believe in basic human rights but I often refute the idea of one size fits all. I talk about this a lot when it comes to movement. I have not been silent about the idea of how dance classes have become a one size fits all without actually addressing the individual needs. My time at home has been a great revelation of that. When I get up, I train in martial arts with my younger bro and then do ballet with my younger sister in the evening and on off days lift weights, after with my brother. They are young and highly active. Their threshold and fitness endurance is rather high and they can also be pushed. We have started introducing some light cardio for mom but the main focus of the first few weeks has been diet, introducing more fruits and vegetables in her diet and getting her to eat consistently. The thing is, health is a rather important thing to me. Many people see my body and think it’s a product of perfectionism when in reality, A fit body leads to better functionality. The more in shape you are for you, the more adaptable your body will be to any activity. But the journey to that isn’t one size fits all. It’s individual. So, i ask the question if the idea of universal oneness excites mediocrity? Or perhaps, we all excel at different things and given equal playing ground, we can all have the same advantage and the achievement goes to those who truly work for it.
